Bristol knows how to throw a lively event. From garden birthdays in Downend and school fairs in Bedminster to family celebrations in Clifton and community fun days in Kingswood, there is always something happening somewhere across the city. When children need entertainment that immediately grabs attention, bouncy castles can turn a regular gathering into the busiest part of the day within minutes.

Bristol parties that deserve more than the basics

Some celebrations call for a simple inflatable, while others need something with a bit more personality. The 3D Dinosaur Front Slide Combo (15ft x 12ft) is hugely popular for energetic birthdays where children want bouncing and sliding packed into one inflatable, while the 3D Unicorn Front Slide Combo (15ft x 12ft) adds colourful themed fun that instantly stands out at parties.

For customers looking for versatile all-round favourites, the Multi Coloured Party Theme Bouncy Castle (12ft x 12ft) and Red & Blue Party Theme Bouncy Castle (12ft x 12ft) remain popular choices throughout Bristol for birthdays, school events and local celebrations.

We provide bouncy castles throughout Bristol including Clifton, Bedminster, Fishponds, Kingswood, Horfield, Bradley Stoke, Stoke Gifford, Emersons Green, Southville, Filton, Henleaze, Patchway, Knowle, St George, Totterdown and surrounding areas.

Whether your event is taking place in a family garden, school field, sports club or community venue, our inflatables are available throughout the city with delivery, setup and collection included.

Popular Bristol parks and venues for inflatable hire

Bristol has no shortage of fantastic spaces for family events and outdoor celebrations. We regularly provide inflatable hire for parties held near Ashton Court Estate, Blaise Castle Estate, Eastville Park, Victoria Park and local community venues throughout the city.

Many of our inflatables can also be suitable for indoor venues depending on space and ceiling height, helping customers keep party plans flexible throughout the year.

Entertainment options for younger children in Bristol

Some events include toddlers alongside older children, which is why many Bristol families combine inflatables with Soft Play. This can help create separate activity areas where younger guests can enjoy padded play while older children bounce nearby.

Adding Didi Cars or choosing Party Packages can also help provide extra variety for larger birthday parties and family events.

Bristol school fairs, family fun days and community events

Inflatables are not just for birthdays. Throughout Bristol, our bouncy castles are regularly booked for school fundraisers, nursery events, church celebrations, sports club family days and community festivals where active entertainment helps keep children engaged throughout the event.

Larger inflatables with slides can work especially well for these occasions because they naturally draw queues, laughter and plenty of excited energy all day long.

Why Bristol families choose Jump N Joy Castles

When organising a children’s event, reliable setup matters almost as much as the inflatable itself. Our team handles delivery, installation and collection throughout Bristol, helping customers avoid extra stress on busy party days.

All equipment is cleaned thoroughly between hires and maintained carefully before every booking, whether you are hiring a compact castle for a home party or a larger inflatable for a school event.

Bouncy Castle Hire Bristol FAQs

Bristol gives families a huge variety of places to hold children's events, from home gardens and community halls to school venues and larger indoor spaces. That variety also means the right bouncy castle can differ considerably from one booking to the next. Below we cover some of the less obvious questions worth considering before hiring an inflatable in Bristol.

When is outdoor bouncy castle hire available in Bristol?

Our outdoor bouncy castle season runs during the warmer part of the year. We do not provide outdoor inflatable hires from October through to March.

During those colder months, an indoor hall or suitable venue is the better option. Indoor bookings also remove much of the uncertainty caused by changing weather conditions.

Should I choose a standard bouncy castle or one with a slide?

That depends on the type of party and the space available. A traditional Bouncy Castle keeps things simple and can be easier to accommodate in smaller gardens or halls.

A bounce and slide bouncy castle provides two activities within one inflatable, which can be useful for children who want a little more variety. Slide models normally require a different footprint, so measure the full setup area before choosing.

Do you have more eye-catching bouncy castles for themed Bristol parties?

Yes. Our range includes 3D inflatables as well as more traditional party designs. For example, the 3D Unicorn Bouncy Castle provides a strongly themed option without requiring a built-in slide.

For children who want both a theme and extra activity, options such as the 3D Dinosaur Front Slide Combo combine bouncing with a front slide.

Can a Bristol school hire a bouncy castle?

Yes. Bouncy castles can be suitable for school celebrations, activity days and other organised children's events where the site meets the necessary space, access and surface requirements.

For larger events, it is particularly important to have responsible adults controlling the number and size of children using the inflatable at any one time.

What happens if the electricity supply is too far from the setup area?

Inflatables require continuous power to operate their blowers. The power arrangements therefore need to be considered before the booking, especially at larger venues or events where the setup point is some distance from a building.

Blowers and any generators supplied must remain where our team positions them. They should never be moved, disconnected or interfered with during the hire.

What should I do if the bouncy castle starts losing air?

Children should be removed from the inflatable immediately if it begins to deflate or there appears to be a problem with the blower.

Do not allow anyone back onto the equipment while it is inflating or deflating. Contact Jump N Joy Castles so the situation can be assessed rather than attempting to alter the equipment yourself.

Can I have toddler entertainment beside the bouncy castle?

Yes, especially for an indoor Bristol party. Soft Play provides an activity specifically suited to babies and toddlers, while older children can use the inflatable separately.

For even more choice, Didi Cars can be incorporated into some indoor setups provided there is suitable smooth flooring and enough room to create a clear driving space.

Is one inflatable enough for a larger Bristol children's party?

Sometimes it is, particularly if the children are similar in age and the chosen inflatable has suitable capacity. For a broader age range, several complementary activities can work better.

Our Party Packages combine different forms of children's entertainment under one booking and can be useful when toddlers and older children will both be attending.

What happens if somebody damages the inflatable?

The hirer is responsible for damage caused by negligence, misuse or malicious behaviour during the booking. Repair or replacement costs can therefore be charged where damage results from the hire conditions not being followed.

Repairs required to PIPA-tested inflatables are carried out through an appropriate approved inspection body.

Keeping sharp objects, pets, food, drinks, face paint, silly string, glitter and confetti away from the inflatable helps prevent many avoidable problems.

Can the bouncy castle stay inflated after the agreed collection time?

Collection is arranged as part of the booking and our team returns after the agreed hire period. Please make sure an adult aged 18 or over is available when we arrive.

Only Jump N Joy Castles personnel should dismantle or collect our equipment. Customers should not attempt to pack away an inflatable themselves or hand it to somebody claiming to collect it unless that person has been confirmed by us.

Do you need vehicle access right beside a Bristol garden?

Not necessarily right beside it, but the route from our van to the setup point needs to be practical. Bouncy castles are substantial pieces of equipment when packed away.

Tell us about stairs, alleyways, restricted entrances, basement or raised gardens and lengthy carries before the event. Most inflatables require around 2.6ft of access width, and larger equipment may need more.

Bristol parking restrictions should also be considered when choosing a venue. A suitable space for a transit-sized van should be available as close to the delivery point as reasonably possible, with applicable parking charges remaining the hirer's responsibility.

Can children of completely different sizes bounce together?

Children should be grouped by similar age and size wherever practical. A much larger child bouncing alongside a toddler creates unnecessary risk even if both children are technically permitted to use the inflatable.

The responsible adult supervising the equipment should manage numbers, separate users when necessary and stop unsafe behaviour immediately.

What happens if nobody is at the Bristol address when you deliver?

Someone aged 18 or over needs to be present for delivery and collection. We may contact you on the evening before the booking to confirm relevant delivery details.

If access is unavailable when agreed, we cannot guarantee that lost time can be recovered later, particularly when our vehicles have other scheduled deliveries and collections.

How safe are the bouncy castles supplied in Bristol?

Relevant inflatables are PIPA tested and inspected regularly. Jump N Joy Castles also carries £5 million Public Liability Insurance.

Our team handles the delivery and installation, carries out the necessary checks and explains the essential conditions for safe use. Adult supervision remains required throughout the hire.

Can I reserve a Bristol bouncy castle without paying anything?

No. A £20 deposit is required to secure the equipment and date. Until the deposit has been received, the booking is not confirmed and we cannot hold the inflatable.

The remaining balance is normally payable on delivery before setup begins.

What if I cancel more than two weeks before the party?

Customer cancellations made at least 14 days before the hire date generally receive a full refund of the booking deposit. Cancellations within 14 days are normally non-refundable.

If the issue is a change of plans rather than a complete cancellation, we will try to transfer the booking to another available date where possible.

Where else does Jump N Joy Castles provide bouncy castle hire?

Our regular delivery service extends beyond Bristol to locations including Bradley Stoke, Keynsham, Yate, Thornbury, Portishead, Bath and South Gloucestershire.

This can be useful if you are Bristol-based but find a more suitable party venue elsewhere nearby.

I have an unusual Bristol venue. Should I book first or contact you?

If there is anything unusual about the access, surface, parking, ceiling height or available setup space, it is sensible to check before committing to a particular inflatable.

Use Contact Us or call 07496 311798 and give us the relevant measurements and venue details. For broader questions about payments, supervision, cancellations and hire conditions, you can also read FAQs.
