If conditions mean an outdoor booking cannot operate safely, we reserve the right to cancel or look at another suitable option.
What happens to my deposit if weather makes the hire unsafe?
If Jump N Joy Castles cancels an outdoor booking because the weather makes safe operation impossible, your deposit is refunded.
Depending on availability, we may also be able to move the booking indoors, offer another suitable inflatable or rearrange the hire to a different date.
Can I put a bouncy castle on a paved Portishead garden?
No. Outdoor inflatables are installed on suitable natural grass only so they can be anchored correctly.
We do not install outdoor bouncy castles on concrete, tarmac, gravel, loose stone or unsuitable artificial surfaces.
If most of your garden is paved, an indoor venue may provide a better option.
How much of my garden should I actually measure?
Measure the clear grass area where you want the inflatable positioned, not the boundary-to-boundary dimensions of the garden.

The packed inflatable also has to reach the setup location, so a large garden does not necessarily mean every inflatable will be deliverable through a narrow side passage.
What access problems should I mention before delivery?
Tell us about anything that makes the route from the van to the setup area less straightforward, including:

Yes, where the venue has a smooth, hard indoor floor and enough clear space. Didi Cars are not suitable for grass.

What happens if children arrive before setup is finished?
Children must not use or climb onto the inflatable while it is being installed, inflated or deflated.
Your venue or property needs to be available at the agreed delivery time so our team can complete installation before use begins.
If access is delayed because another hall booking overruns, we cannot guarantee that the lost time can be added later.
Who should be present when the bouncy castle arrives?
Someone aged 18 or over should be present for delivery and collection.
We may contact you on the evening before the booking to confirm delivery details, particularly where venue access or timing needs to be coordinated.
What responsibilities does the supervising adult have?
The inflatable must be supervised whenever it is being used. The adult responsible should control the number of users, stop unsafe behaviour and separate children by similar age and size where appropriate.
Children should not climb or sit on walls or roofs, perform somersaults, wrestle or bounce on the front step.
Can children use the bouncy castle wearing glasses?
No. Glasses, shoes, jewellery, badges and sharp objects should be removed before entering the inflatable.
Food, drinks and chewing gum must also remain off the equipment.
Why are face paint and confetti not allowed?
Face paint, glitter, silly string and confetti can stain inflatable material or create additional cleaning problems, so they must be kept away from the equipment.
If a bouncy castle is returned excessively dirty because prohibited materials have been used, a £50 cleaning charge may apply.
What happens if equipment is damaged during my Portishead party?
The hirer can be held responsible for repair or replacement costs where damage results from negligence, misuse or malicious behaviour.

Only authorised members of Jump N Joy Castles should dismantle and collect our equipment. If somebody unexpectedly arrives claiming to collect it without prior confirmation, contact us before handing anything over.
