How Much Space Should a School Allow?
Allow more room than the dimensions shown in the product name. The listed measurements describe the inflatable footprint, not the complete setup area.
For a school event, you should also leave room for:
- queues;
- adult supervision;
- clear entrances and exits;
- movement between different attractions;
- spectators and parents where applicable;
- other stalls, games and activities.
If you are planning several inflatables, sketching the event layout before booking can make it much easier to see how everything will fit.
Access and Power for School Events
Inflatables need suitable access from the delivery vehicle to the setup area. We generally require clear access of at least 2.6ft, while some larger equipment may need up to 3ft.
The blowers also require a standard mains electricity supply. We carry 25m extension leads as standard and can provide up to 50m where required if arranged beforehand.
Supervision and Event Organisation
Responsible adult supervision is required while the equipment is in use.
At a busy school event, it can help to allocate specific adults to each attraction rather than asking one person to oversee the whole inflatable area.
You should also think about:
- where queues will form;
- how pupils will enter and leave each activity;
