How Much Does Bouncy Castle Hire Cost?
If you are planning a children's party, one of the first questions is usually the same: how much does it cost to hire a bouncy castle?
At Jump N Joy Castles, the answer depends mainly on the type of inflatable you choose. A smaller low-height bouncy castle costs less than a larger party inflatable, while bounce-and-slide combinations, obstacle courses and complete party packages sit higher up the price range because they include more equipment or a larger setup.
The examples below use prices from our current hire range so you can get a realistic idea of what different types of equipment cost before you book.
Typical Bouncy Castle Hire Prices
For a straightforward children's birthday party, many of our bouncy castles sit around the £90 to £140 price range. The exact price depends on the dimensions, design and features of the inflatable.
How Much Does a Bounce and Slide Bouncy Castle Cost?
Adding a slide usually increases the price because the inflatable is larger and offers more than a standard bouncing area.
Our bounce-and-slide options currently sit between £120 and £130.
What Does a Larger Inflatable Cost?
Larger equipment generally costs more because it takes up more room and provides a different type of activity.

40ft Party Energy Obstacle Course
The 40ft Party Energy Obstacle Course is priced at £200.
It provides a longer inflatable activity than a standard bouncy castle and needs considerably more setup space, so it is better suited to larger venues and events.

How Much Do Bouncy Castle Party Packages Cost?
If you want more than one activity, a party package can make it easier to book several pieces of equipment together.
Our current packages range from £170 to £210, depending on the inflatable and additional activities included.
What Other Party Equipment Can Affect the Overall Cost?
You do not have to book everything as one package. Smaller extras can be added individually if your venue has enough room.
What Is Included in the Hire Price?
Your hire price includes delivery, setup and collection for bookings within the normal service arrangements. The inflatable is supplied with the equipment needed for operation, including the blower, extension cable, safety mats and anchoring equipment appropriate to the setup.
A standard mains power supply is required. Jump N Joy Castles carries 25m extension leads as standard, with longer options available where needed if arranged in advance.
Does Delivery Affect the Price?
Delivery is included within the normal local service area. A delivery charge may apply to locations further away, so it is worth checking your postcode before booking if you are outside Bristol.
We provide hire in Bristol, Bath, Yate, Keynsham and Thornbury, as well as Portishead, Chippenham, Bradley Stoke and other parts of South Gloucestershire.
Does Indoor or Outdoor Hire Change the Cost?
The listed product price does not automatically change simply because you are using the inflatable indoors, but the venue and setup requirements can affect what equipment is suitable.
Indoor parties need adequate floor space, ceiling height, access and mains power. If the room is low, you may need to choose from our Low Height Bouncy Castles rather than a taller design.
Outdoor bouncy castles must be set up on a suitable surface. If you are unsure, read what surfaces can a bouncy castle be set up on? before booking.
Why Do Some Bouncy Castles Cost More Than Others?
The biggest differences usually come down to size and features.
A standard 12ft x 12ft bouncy castle can be less expensive because it provides one straightforward bouncing area. A 15ft x 12ft bounce-and-slide combination includes an additional slide, while a 16ft x 16ft bouncy castle provides a larger bouncing area.
Obstacle courses and party packages cost more again because they offer either a much larger inflatable or several activities within the same booking.
Is a Party Package Better Value?
That depends on what you actually need.
If all you want is a bouncy castle for a children's birthday, booking one inflatable may be the simplest and cheapest option. If your party includes toddlers, older children and several activity areas, a Party Package may make more sense than arranging everything individually.
The most useful comparison is not just the headline price. Think about how many activities you want, the ages attending and whether your venue has enough room for the complete setup.
How Can You Keep the Cost of a Children's Party Sensible?
Start with the entertainment your children will actually use. A £100 bouncy castle can provide the main activity for an entire birthday party without needing several additional extras.
If younger children are attending, adding Soft Play may be more useful than choosing a much larger inflatable. For indoor parties, four Didi Cars at £30 can also add another activity without moving into the price range of a full package.
Choosing equipment that suits your venue and guest list is generally more useful than simply choosing the largest setup available.
